6:15 p.m. Discussion with Finance Committee and Ken Rocke re: proposed MTRSD district agreement
changes.

• There was general concern about a statement made in a Greenfield Recorder article on  10/20/2023.   The article reported School Committee Chair Martha Thurber as saying that she is unsure of the next steps for the School Committee and that the committee will be seeking legal guidance to see if there is any way the district can change the assessment formula without having to go back to all eight member towns again for approval.  The Select Board will be writing to the District for clarification of the statement.  
• Ken is concerned that there has been no communication from MTRSD regarding his  analysis of Heath's assessment over time. The District and Ken need to agree on a common set of facts. Ken has made several attempts to meet with someone from the district. 
• Ken estimates that this is a $160,000 yearly increase for Heath going forward.  He proposed is to break down  his presentation into 4 sessions of 90 minutes.
• Heath SB and FinComm would host the presentations and allow 2 to 3 members of other town's SBs and/or FinComms to attend.

Other Business
Extend the FY20 Community Development Block Grant Program Revision Form deadline to 6/30/24.  SB approved the extension.
Salt Shed--Iron Horse Structures  is coming on Thursday at 10, Dec 7 for the purpose of giving an estimate.
11 Bellor Road LLC—farmers met to discuss how they want to go forward. Had a discussion with Doug Mason regarding permitting. No action needed by the SB at this time.
Community Hall Window Fundraising

• A charge has been written and SB approved it.

Community Hall Update on Current Building Projects, Discuss Potential Winter Projects Inc. Mold Remediation and Winter Building Use/Status
Mold- Hilma filed insurance claim for both buildings

• Adjuster has been out and took measurements and pictures to be sent to MIA (insurance company).
• Two companies have submitted quotes.

Gutters - someone from a company has looked at the gutters on Dec 5, not clear what company came.

Sawyer Hall Update on Current Building Projects, Discuss Potential Winter Projects Inc. Mold Remediation—vote possible

• Nothing new besides the mold information updated under Community Hall.

Not on the Agenda

• Snow Plow contractor  has an issue regarding his insurance cost.  Sue to contact Jeff Johnston to see how he wants to handle the issue.  The new truck is expected soon (within the next two weeks).
• Discussion of Code red access by BoH. Right now Hilma has access with Tim as backup. There is a concern about financing and potential for overuse as had occurred during COVID.

• Issue with a trailer on Town right-of-way which could interfere with plows​
